impact of air pollution on gardening for gardeners

Whether you are an avid gardener or just beginning it is important to know which zone you live in. A new rose bush can bring decades of splendor and enjoyment.

The majority of wildlife has a superior sense of smell, and often amazing hearing. One of the best steps to keeping your garden pest free and prevent diseases is to select healthy plants that are best suited for your particular growing needs. However, please note that you need to only treat the plants that are infested.

Strong smells such as garlic, baby powder, chili power, or rotten eggs all interfere with the wildlife's ability to smell the plants that they like to eat. Select warm-season annuals, such as impatiens and marigolds, for ones that bloom from late spring to early fall. However, some annuals grow better when sown as seeds directly in the ground.

Be sure to dig up each bed and break up all compacted soil. Another way to decide which herbs you may want to start with is to look in your cabinets and see the dried herbs you have purchased and start with those. Sometimes just using the strength of the water hose will get the little bugs away.

Be careful not to plant the grasses too deep. It is easy to forget that one thing such as a simple nectar plant can affect everything in your world.
